| What are your thoughts on this? There's someone in the forum claiming he was just diagnosed with prostate cancer. Not sure if he's part of this forum or not, or even if his claims are real. Suddenly after announcing this, he posted a wish list in his signature. People ran to gift him everything in it. Now, he updated it to add a couple of more new items AND expensive stuff like retro specks and 2008 costumes.
Does this bother anyone else? My mom is a cancer survivor and this is not something to joke about. He could be lying about cancer. You never know. Doubt he would, but he shouldn't be milking it either. It's just as bad.
Rant over. |

| I have to agree, its a little disturbing. Ive heard people say their house is gonna be taken away and they need items on yoville. Cancer isnt something to joke about, because millions died from it. I think all we need to do is provide them with some "nice and caring" words and not items, because then thier a begger |

| I must agree, I'm also questioning him. I cannot prove it though-I'm just not gifting him anything. |

| This dude is what I call a POS!! Im sorry and if he has Cancer I apologize on the deepest levels. Ive actually seen this tried in game many times and I just laugh. Who says they have cancer so that everyone can see it? That is something you keep to yourself and the fact that he posted a wishlist and then posted another is just epic fail!!
Its sad what people will do for free crap. Ive given away over 30M on YV and this guy wouldnt even get a bait worm... |

I so agree. Words are better than items. Plus idk if cancer was something that was going on with me. I wouldn't even post it anywhere. Just let me be, and treat me how you treat everyone else! idk, but that's just me. |

| This is why I stopped hanging out in the forums as much. I used to do gifting games and contests all the time. Then there was in increase in these types of threads. The one for me that put me over the edge was someone posted....I'm having a bad day. I didn't sleep last night and I found out my grandma has cancer again & only 6 months to live. Via text message.....It went on about some other bad crap but come on now. Who the heck finds out via text message their grandma has 6 months to live?? Just absurd. People were having "birthdays" every few weeks. It got out of hand. They should be ashamed of themselves. |

| That's definitely sad and sick. I've had cancer and I'm pretty sure at the time I didn't want yo items lmao! I think while generosity is good people also need to wisen up some and think twice when they see these sort of posts.
I remember the secret santa debacle a few years back when someone posted on the forum he'd be a secret santa and give out gifts to people so a ton of people dropped stuff off and sure enough right on Christmas secret santa....you guessed it poofed!
I also remember someone organizing a memorial home for a fallen forum member and again people dropped off items to him. He promised the home would never change and her memorial would stay as he first created it, but guess what? You guessed it! He has been since taken it apart and sold those items :/ |

| I think if someone does that it should be as bad as stealing stuff. I do not see the point in playing the game if you can't enjoy working and getting your own items its what gives it a purpose. I'm not saying giving a gift to someone is wrong. I'm just saying that when someone begs for stuff on a game it takes the purpose out of it. |

| Once after the earthquake in Haiti a girl said she was a surviver who was moved to Africa at the hospital (bull crap they were moved to other caribean islands.) she was like donate to me because I'm at the hospital and everyone is like how is giving you yocoins going to help? And she says she will transfer the coins to real money. Pfft! Anyways she was a scammer who completely changed her looks just to take advantage of the tragic event that accrued in haiti. |

| Ok that is just sad. I had cancer 5 years ago and was very sad for a very long time. But I would of never of posted it. I did how ever post I am a cancer survivor which means everything to me and I am very proud of. So it bothers me to hear people saying they have cancer just to get things out of life. If I had of posted I had cancer, It would be because I needed someone to talk to. Yoville is a game. And it is the wrong place to even joke about things like that. |

| Rather than posting your aches and pains , illnesses or whatever that may be people should look into recuperating!! Instead of a wish list why not ask for ways to cure/help your illness!!! All I see here is GREED and taking advantage of good people!!! |
