- Well i got back from work 5 hours ago, and OMG, longgggg day.. I love my job though, im 17 and do the job of a professional job The manager said i can go far, but working with food doesnt interest me, its only to get some $$$. Just to get stuff for school like books, paper, stationary etc. Also saving up for my university course, as i want to work in A&E and probably be a paramedic. Anyway enough of my life story. But yea, i had a longgg day at work 9 hours. In the scorching heat, and working in a kitchen (Not a good mix) I felt sick many times from the heat, the chef was suffering from like a heatstroke, he was pale, sweating a lot, and just didnt want to drink, so he was dehydrated too. We served over 400 people in a 5 hour slot. Which is a LOT of work. With it being a sunday, its routine that we serve a carvery with a large selection of foods. These are from Beef, Turkey and pork. The veggies ranged from Roasties, Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Carrots, Peas, Honey-Roasted Parsnips and gravy. With the sauve options of horseradish sauce, cranberry sauce, mustard and apple sauce. i cook all of the veggies, and constantly keep the chef supplied with them as he has to carve the meat for the customers. So I am constantly rushed off my feet. I assure you, it is hard work in a kitchen, they make it look really easy on television, films etc. But i can tell you, it is not the easiest job.
The reason why I am where I am now is because, when i was 13, the kitchen was short on staff, and they needed someone to do the washing up, so my dad put forward me, and the manager considered it. Then i was approved to go in. The manager was 'severely impressed' at what he saw, then he kept calling me in when he needed some staff, because he knew a job would be done quickly and porperly. Then as i started to get older i started growing up with the kitchen getting used to it, and now it just seems like my home. When i hit the age 16, i was old enough to start the job of being a waiter, which i then wanted to experiment upon. I had a meeting with the manager and asked him if i could try this, because then if he is short on staff ANYWHERE in the restaurant, that i would always be a reserve and would always be willing to come in when he wants me in. So then he approved this, and was also 'impressed' at what he saw. He said i acted like i had already done it before, and put all the other waiters and waitresses to shame. And now here i am at the age of 17 working like a professional, when im working with no-one inerrupting me, i feel like i can take on the world, and put everyone else to shame, because thats what i want in life to be one step infront, not one step behid, always being op top of jobs, being good at everything, getting trust from everyone, and now i wouldnt give up my job for everyone, i have put a lot of hard work into getting where i am. And for that, I can honestly say I am PROUD of myself, and I have never said that I am proud of myself about something EVER in my life.
Anyway thanks for reading, I hope you like my life story and I hope you feel kind of inspired that i wanted to make something from my life at such a young age OMG Jezza, That was to darn long. My head hurt half way through HAHA |

| Well i did... NOTHINK... Today was my 3rd and final day off work. Had been working 14 days straight so i hadda get some days off from work and just chill.
Spent time with family and friends, Spent time esp my 2 baby cousin's, Been going on walks with them and the dogs, Sun has been shining so it's been perfect weather to go for nice walk with two weird kids lol
Decorated my mates new house as they both are in hospital awaiting there newborn baby. So thought i'd take time out to do there new house up as it will be to much to do, Esp when looking after a kid at same time.
But apart from that it's been an amazing 3 days and i'm hoping i get next week end off to spend time with family for easter and go partying WOOOP

Anyway thanks for reading, I hope you like my life story and I hope you feel kind of inspired that i wanted to make something from my life at such a young age omg to long for me to pay attention lol |
